Close to the campsite, you will find the cozy center of Bodegraven. Here you can stop for a cup of coffee, lunch or ice cream. The atmosphere is friendly and local, with shops and cafes along the water. It's a great place to interrupt your ride or just end it quietly after a day of touring.

When you drive towards the Nieuwkoopse Plassen, the environment of your route slowly changes into a wetland nature reserve. Narrow roads lead you along bridges and water. Along the way, you will automatically come across places where you want to stop. A waterfront bench, a jetty or a small terrace. Perfect for enjoying the view.

If you drive to Reeuwijk, you will arrive in an area that is famous for its cheese and water. The Reeuwijkse Plassen offer a beautiful backdrop of open water, green shores and sailing boats that pass quietly. There are various restaurants and waterfront terraces along the lakes. This is the kind of place where you can easily stay a little longer — with a view of the water and a drink at your fingertips.
